Earlier today, an Instagram user posted a video of a 700 HP Supercharged M3 doing some ad-hoc drifting in a suburban intersection. So what? you’d be tempted to say. Well, that’s why all of us get a bad rep.
Usually, people hate BMWs on the road. It’s not that they look bad or sound even worse, it’s because most of the time people behind the wheel do crazy stuff that piss off everyone involved in traffic. Now, we do get that some are just pure morons but sometimes, you just can’t help yourself but floor it.
Rear-wheel drive is an addictive drug and when you have 700 horses going to the rear axle, your foot itches almost all the time. Would yours do the same? The guy in this video probably didn’t even have to do any kind of heel-toe magic to perform this stunt. He probably just floored it and turned left. The rest was done by the car all by itself.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending such behavior on public roads! It’s just that sometimes you should show some compassion. It’s not easy to have all that power. After all, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, right?
