Ok, we’ll admit the X1 isn’t exactly going to come to Planet Earth and rock every racetrack in the world, but the car will become a reality.
According to Evo Magazine (via GT planet), a model of the vehicle has been built (this is exactly what you can see in the adjacent image). The model will be revealed at the Grand Turismo 5’s launch party, which will be held in Madrid on November 24-25.
The aforementioned source added that the X1 isn’t powered by a gas turbine engine and a CVT gearbox (as previous reports indicated). Instead, the vehicle uses an “F1-derived direct-injection 3-litre twin-turbo V6” that delivers a mind-blowing 1,483 hp at 15,000 rpm and a peak torque of 526 lb-ft (713 Nm) at 12,000 rpm.
