Real Life Frogger Squashed by Lexus SUV

Sorry about the guy, but hey, if that's all your brain can come up with... A 23 year old man from Clemson, South Carolina was taken to the hospital on Monday evening after being struck by an SUV on the intersection of Highway 123 and College Avenue.

Now, this wouldn't have made much of a news, hadn't been for the idiotic circumstances which led to the crash. Apparently, the young man, together with a few friends, were enjoying their evening somewhere in the city.

When they get together, boys usually talk one of three things: girls, cars and video games, not necessarily in that order. Unfortunately for the young man, it appears that Monday evening was video game night. And not just any video game, but Frogger.

The arcade game which became an instant hit in 1981 was as stupid as it was fun. The player had to direct frogs to their home, while trying to avoid colored dots which were supposed to be cars. Occasionally, the frogs didn't make it to the other side.

The same happened to the individual from Clemson, who avoided as many cars as he could before losing to the Lexus SUV. Apparently, the optimistic “go” he screamed before jumping into traffic didn't do much for the speed of his legs...

The unnamed man survived the crash and was taken to hospital. Add that to the fact that he failed to complete the level or set a new points record and you'll have a few jokes coming up in the Clemson area.
