Real Gold for Untitled Motorcycles BMW R80/7

An old BMW R80/7 covered is gold leaf in definitely not something we stumble upon every other day. However, if you happen to live in London's Camden district, you might just run into this bike pretty often, as it is Untitled Motorcycle's Adam's daily ride.

Inspired by the old picture frames Adam wanted to create a simple, yet stunning bike. He had a lot of work ahead, as the old Beemers are anything but tidy. However, Untitled Motorcycles went ahead and rebuilt the engine, then painting it in a heat-resistant elegant black, for a neat contrast with the rest of the bike.

All the wiring has been re routed and tucked away from sight, and the instrumentation was placed inside the custom headlight casing, leaving the handlebars and top yoke free and clean. A custom brat-style seat was manufactured by Glenn Moger of Spirit of the 70s fame and the frame came in black, as well.

Adam learned how to work with gold leaf as he went on with the build, so the results are not exactly a top Renaissance work of art. In places, we can see the bright red paint of the metal from underneath the gold layer, and this adds a vintage look... which is great.

This awesome advertising move for Untitled Motorcycles could be enhanced with a some UMC badge as it's definitely not a sin to be proud of your own work. Via the Bike Shed.
