Just like almost every petrolhead, the undersigned grew up with a set of toy cars that had a lot to say regarding his fixation for automobiles.
We don't know about you, but an RC car was the equivalent of driving today's hybrid supercars like the Porsche 918 Spyder or the McLaren P1.

The reason we're opening the childhood memories box is a video we stumbled upon. It involves a miniature radio-controlled yellow Toyota Tundra pickup truck that received what some may call disco lights, a functional horn, and fake engine sounds.

Speaking of which, last year, Toyota announced the Tundra will receive a new V8 engine so don't expect this RC car to match the real-life growling of the aggregate.

However, the RC Tundra does something you won't see in the real-life pickup truck: it has a funny side, which involves some flashing lights and a goofy song to keep the relaxed atmosphere alive.

As you watch the video below, please take your time to observe the details of the pickup, which we think do a good job in keeping in reflecting the real-life styling cues of the Tundra.

The RC version comes with a bullbar, additional projectors mounted on the grille and roof, along with big wheels and chunky tires, perfect for traveling on various household-specific terrain types.

In real-life, the Tundra even inspired a monster truck and a race-tuned Trophy Truck that won the Baja 500 four times. In fact, the car was auctioned last month, and those selling it were asking at least $275,000 (approximately €251,675).

We don't know about you, but when we saw the downsized toy flashing its lights, we thought you have to see it too. After all, we're sure it would be fun to take it for a spin and see how well it handles in the backyard.
