A junkyard is the last place you want to visit since that’s obviously the graveyard where one day you beloved Buick will end up. Piles of crashed Chevys lie there under the sun, waiting for the big Caterpillar loader to take each away and transform it into beer cans. Sure, some of these places might hide real treasures, such as rare Mustangs that could be restored, but in 9 out of 10 cases you’ll associate it with something bad.
However, some people out there are seriously obsessed about cars and they enjoy recreating the industry from scratch with every detail perfectly put together. These people usually fool around with R.C stuff. Some collect the latest scale models, others build up real cities on a lower scale in which they reconstruct true life scenarios.
It’s the case of this German RC enthusiast who had the chance to visit last year’s Faszinationa Modellbau fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany, where he got to tape a RC junkyard that came with a car shredder included. The exhibition is the all-in-one event for model engineering, a place that unites all types of models, whether in the air, on water or on land, and in all facets, scales and specifications.
It’s the “Wonderland of R/C”, if you like, so a scaled down junkyard couldn’t have missed. Like we said previously, this truly is the last place we’d like to see since we love our cars and we’d never want to see our four-wheelers end up in one of these places.
