It's nice to see the old legends coming back into focus and getting the respect they truly deserve. Only yesterday, we showed you a Lamborghini Diablo that swapped its V12 for an LS3 V8, and now we have yet another awesome machine, this time coming from Russia.
You guys are probably all aware of the tuning company TopCar. At their workshop near Moscow, they've fabricated many of the most exciting custom Porsches ever seen, mostly with crocodile leather.
Today, they've shared their first Lamborghini Diablo project. This is a rare machine, number 73 of 80 made. It deserves to be treated like it's special, since at the time of its introduction in 1999 Diablo GT was the fastest production car in the world, boasting a 575 hp 6-liter V12 engine.
What they've done is take everything that was cool and make it better. We'll start with the front, where the storage compartment receives a major infusion of carbon fiber. Special tanned leather luggage accompanies it in a contrasting manner.
The interior is also brand new, done in black and yellow leather with yellow stitching. There are numerous carbon fiber inserts, including ones for the center console, door sills and most of the door cards. With a custom JL Audio sound system, it's like the 21st century just arrived inside the Diablo GT.
The engine compartment also looks that little bit more special, with carbon accents that cover all the sides of this mighty V12 from yesteryear. We don't have any clear information about this, but it's obvious that a brand new set of pipes has been installed since the one from 1999 probably would have rusted away by now.
