Rare Atlantis Blue Performance Pack BMW M5 Spotted in Germany

Atlantis Blue is a rather rare color in BMW’s corner. As you probably noticed, when it comes to the blue and white roundel cars, most people go for sober colors like white, black and grey. Part of the fault goes to the owners but a pretty big chunk also goes to the company.

One of our colleagues had a hard decision to make a while back when picking out the color for his car and stumbled upon this problem. Sure, if you go through the Individual paint catalog, the sky’s the limit but in that case, you’d have to pay extra. A lot.

One such car was recently spotted in Dusseldorf, Germany by one of Autogespot’s contributors. What stunned us is the color choice the owner went for. He chose the aforementioned Atlantis Blue, a color that is typically used on BMW’s 3 Series and M3 range. However, even on this M5 it looks absolutely brilliant.

Speaking of which, we should also point out that his ride is wearing the Competition Package launched last year by the Germans along with the car’s Life Cycle Impulse or facelift in non-BMW terms.

That means that it went from the usual 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque to 575 HP. It also received the unique bi-color wheels available only on ZCP models and the Carbon Ceramic Brakes gave away by their golden brake calipers.

All in all, we think this beauty set its owner back at least €125,000, especially since it seems to have been bought from Germany where the M5 starts at €103,000. Chip in the Carbon Ceramic Brakes, the Competition package and the Individual paint and things get pretty expensive, pretty quick.
