There are many original Mustangs out there that you can buy at a fair price, but the 1967 GTA that we have here is definitely one of the few still flexing everything original.
The GTA, which stands for Grand Touring Automatic, isn’t necessarily an easy find, and the owner of the example you’re looking at also has a Marti report to prove it’s the real deal you could end up taking home.

The car flexes California black plates and even the factory dealership cover, though as you can easily determine with a few clicks in the photo gallery, the only way to go in the long term is a full restoration.

In other words, this Mustang is an all-original restoration candidate that was recently pulled from long-time storage and is now searching for a new owner to get it back on the road.

And the good news is a full overhaul of the car may end up becoming quite an easy business, especially because nothing big is missing. And what’s more, the overall shape of the Mustang seems to be above the average, so that long-term storage probably happened in good conditions.

The 289 (4.7-liter) V8 under the hood no longer runs, but eBay seller oldmanclassicmustangsintexas says it’s not locked up either. But of course, you should still totally check it out in person to see just how many fixes it needs to get back in a working condition.

Unsurprisingly, this 1967 Mustang GTA has already caught the attention of quite a lot of netizens, though there’s good news and bad news when it comes to its actual sale.

Nearly 20 bids have already been received since the auction went live a few days ago, but on the other hand, the seller has activated a reserve, and it’s yet to be reached. The top offer at the time of writing is $8,600, so it’ll certainly be interesting to see how high the price ends up going for this Mustang.
