The Brits at Land Rover are working on facelifts for the Range Rover Sport, and it was about time our spy photographers got some shots of the performance-oriented version of the SUV, the SVR.
Like the Range Rover Sport prototype, this test vehicle was heavily camouflaged. This time, the prototype was being tested on the road network in the United Kingdom, our spy photographers have reported.

We expect the new Range Rover Sport SVR to be launched in the first half of 2017. As with the regular version of the Range Rover Sport, the SVR did not receive extensive design changes. We notice a new set of air intakes in the front bumper, along with small modifications to the front end.

As in the case of other facelifts, new paint and alloy wheel options should be introduced in the range. The British brand also has a generous personalization program, so these new options would not be an issue to add to the standard range, while the bespoke program will grow in other directions.

The customization possibilities from carmakers have increased significantly in the past years, especially in the case of premium vehicles. This expansion took place thanks to the lucrative market that was readily available to automakers. After all, customers wanted individual vehicles through paint and material options, and automakers were building them to order anyway, so why miss an opportunity to make more money and keep clients happy?

Meanwhile, on the mechanical side, the SVR version of the Range Rover Sport is expected to receive the new 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine launched with the Jaguar F-Type SVR. This would bring a 25 HP increase in output, as well as enhanced dynamic capabilities and range.

The cherry on top of the cake will be the interior of this vehicle, which is expected to be reworked with the facelift. Along with new materials and enhanced soundproofing, customers will also benefit from more driver assistance systems. Naturally, the multimedia system will be improved and will receive Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
