Range Rover Lists Flaws in Front of Dealership

One angry Range Rover buyer found the best way to vent his frustration regarding the £50,000 vehicle he purchased from Lookers Land Rovers showroom in Colchester, Essex.

The British owner covered his Range Rover Sport HSE with stickers just like the ones used by dealerships, warning other potential customers about the problems he had to deal with. Unfortunately, despite the repairs were carried out under warranty, it wasn't enough for the owner.

He parked the 2007 Range Rover Sport HSE outside the English showroom in Colchester with signs in its windows reading: "Problems with ... 6 front ball joints, 4 front arm bushes, new seat base, front and rear n/s struts, full n/s suspension unit, anti-roll bar bushes, air con," the Daily Mail reported.

Just to make sure that everybody catches the main idea, large yellow vinyl letters read: “If you want trouble free motoring do not buy one of these!!!” What’s worse is that the dealership cannot move the car, as it is parked on a public road.

"Land Rover operates a comprehensive warranty program with, where appropriate, a strong goodwill policy," said Mark Foster, Jaguar Land Rover's corporate communications manager.

"All necessary repairs to this vehicle over 42,000 miles have been carried out under warranty. However, we are disappointed this customer's ownership experience has been unfortunate and as such we have made a goodwill offer towards helping him into a new vehicle."

The Range Rover Sport was first introduced in 2005, based on the Discovery chassis. The HSE version is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury sport-utility, available in two trims, the HSE and the Supercharged. The HSE is equipped with a standard 4.4-liter, V8, 300-horsepower engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
