Range Rover Evoque Gets All-Matte Black Carbon Fiber Treatment from Kahn

While Land Rover has obviously bet on the appearance card when styling the Range Rover Evoque, this doesn’t mean the tuning world can’t look for ways to play with the compact crossover’s visual aura. The latest example of this comes from Kahn, a British specialist that has come up with an all-Matte Black creation wearing carbon fiber aprons.

Kahn has basically built its business by tuning Range Rovers, so it was only natural to pursue the Evoque. We’ve seen multiple kits for what some the baby Range Rover from them so far, but this one appears to bring the meanest appearance.

The front fascia includes elements such as a bespoke mesh grille and LED daytime running lights. Moving to the rear, we find a roof spoiler, a lower trunk spoiler, as well as custom tailgate trim.

In fact, the custom body parts are not the headline here. Instead, that title appears to be taken by the overall appearance of the vehicle, as the Matte Black finish puts everything into a different perspective.

The list of exterior custom additions is completed by a set of Kahn RS600 20-inch wheels, which come in a Matte Gun Metal finish. The connection to the road is further enhanced by a set of lowering springs that bring the Evoque 20 mm (0.8 inches) closer to the road - note the standard ride height of the crossover is 212 mm (8.35 inches).

The cabin treatment

Climbing aboard, we find a perforated Black Nappa leather upholstery. The treatment was applied to the seats, the front armrest, while woven contrast stitching was used for the transmission tunnel and headliner.

The Evoque example seen here is powered by the 190 hp 2.2-liter Diesel, but Kahn doesn’t discriminate - they’ll be just as willing to touch your 240 hp two-liter turbo petrol units.
