The Excite Rallye Raid Team is excited to unveil the car they will use for next year’s Dakar, the Range Rover Evoque Desert Warrior 3, a racing machine powered by diesel and taking the form of a posh crossover coupe.
But the Warrior means business, and is powered by a BMW 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 275 hp under normal conditions or 350 hp is unrestricted. It’s also capable of producing a scary amount of torque, 850 Nm of it when needed.

Those black rims might look small, but they are actually 16-inch Compomotive Atacama Rally Raid wheels with BF Goodrich Desert Race G series tires. Their long travel is ensured by the 8 Reiger coilovers.

The heavily modified Evoque weighs 1,900 kg (4189 lbs) and comes with a 260-liter fuel tank that ensures a maximum range of 1,200 km (745 miles).

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
