Range Rover Evoque 5-Door Leaks

Land Rover has held a special dealer presentation for the five-door version of the Range Rover Evoque model.

The event was held in Paris and allowed the 0-100.ro website to offer us the first image of the vehicle. As you can see, the five-door incarnation of the Range Rover Evoque has shortened front doors and relatively small rear doors in order to offer harmonious proportions that keep its design line in the pleasant area.

The vehicle was shown to dealers in Paris, but it isn’t expected to make its debut at the upcoming Paris Auto Show. Instead, the model should have its world premiere at the L.A. Auto Show, which will be held in November.

Just like the three-door incarnation of the vehicle, the five-door one comes with an engine range consisting of three diesel units (three versions of a 2.2 liter engine) and a petrol powerplant. The oil-burners offer 150 (two of the versions) and 190 hp. The gasoline unit is a turbocharged 2.0 liter unit that uses direct fuel injection and twin variable valve timing to deliver 240 hp.

Customers can choose between a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox (the choice also depends on the engine). Range Rover offers both a four wheel drive and a front-wheel drive system. The latter is a first for the company and is aimed at offering a high level of fuel efficiency.

The interior of the new version will be identical to that of the three-door incarnation of the car.
