Range Rover Earns VIP Upgrade From Arden, Power Goes Up to 650 HP

Arden wants Range Rover clients to have access a lot more resources than the standard model is offering, so their choice of releasing an upgrade pack for the V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine should be no surprise.

British marques have been Arden's favorites for esthetic and power upgrades and their work can be witnessed on models like Jaguar, Bentley, Range Rover and even MINI.

This particular Range Rover received the new Arden AR9 wide body kit paired with the monobloque 22-inch Dakar II rims. However, there is more than meets the eye because the Germans also took care of what's under the SUV's hood.

Let us be clear, the 510 HP and 625 Nm (461 lb-ft) of  torque delivered by the V8 5.0-liter engine are no pushover, but these resources are simply not enough for Arden. And just like any other respectable tuner, they had a word to say on that.

This is the moment when a custom supercharger comes into play along with a remapped ECU and a performance exhaust system with a sport catalytic converter. It all accounts for an extra 138 HP and 120 Nm (89 lb-ft), blessing the supercharged SUV with a total of 650 HP and and 745 Nm (549 lb-ft). However, there's no word on how fast will the Range Rover sprint from 0 to 96 km/h (60 mph), but whoever buys this pack (price undisclosed yet) will be able to find that out by himself.

Forget the old maximum speed which was limited to 225 km/h (140 mph), because Arden tweaked the electronic top speed limiter and in now allows heavy-footed drivers to reach a top speed of 260 km/h (162 mph). Let's just hope they'll do it without breaking the law (on the German autobahn perhaps) and without putting their own lives and the other people's lives in danger.
