Former Aspar French rider Randy De Puniet announced that he will be riding a Suzuki in the Wendurance World Championship, in the Suzuka 8 Hours.
Already a long-time test rider for Suzuki, De Puniet is helping the Hamamatsu develop their all-new in-line 4 MotoGP prototype.
So you can figure out that a grueling race such as the Suzuka 8 Hours is one opportunity Suzuki can't afford to miss, as it will bring in a lot of usable data and provide Randy with even more experience aboard new machinery.
The Suzuka 8 Hours is scheduled on July 27 and will pit De Puniet against the world's toughest road racers, John McGuinness, Michael Rutter, Kevin Schwantz to only name a few.
