Building trucks is big business, especially in North America. And in case you haven’t heard already, special editions and equally special visual packages are all the rave these days in this industry. Hence, Ram Truck prepared not one, but two special 1500 pickups.
The first of the two is a half-tonner that oozes with sporty details. Dubbed Ignition Orange and based on the 1500 Sport, the limited-edition package retails for $1,595. That small bundle of cash buys you a vivid exterior hue and body-color grille, a sporty hood laden with black decals, black tailgate badge, and similarly black body-side badges. Inside, on the other hand, the highlight is represented by “Copperhead” accent stitching, as well as spears and trim rings finished in a color that the automaker likes to call “Anodized Orange.”
Only 1,500 units of the bright-orange workhorse will be made, all for the 2017 model year. Limited to V8 models in Crew Cab configuration, the price point for this kind of pickup truck starts from $43,740 plus $1,320 for the destination. If, however, you want something a little more badass, the automaker is happy to oblige. Introducing the 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel Mojave Sand, which kicks off from $45,590 plus $1,320. Slated to roll into dealers in December, the Mojave Sand is limited to 1,500 examples for the 2017 MY.
Beyond the exclusive paint job, the exterior is complemented by black decals on the hood. Hop inside and the name of the game here is a mostly black cabin, adorned with black anodized bezels on the doors, center console, instrument panel, and gauge cluster trim rings.
The black seats replace Radar Red seat backs and embroidery in the regular Ram 1500 Rebel. "Light Slate Gray" accent stitching is also present on the instrument panel, center console lid, doors, and seats. To complete the package nicely, the rough and tough Rebel Mojave Sand comes as standard with embossed rubber floor mats.
