Ram Truck Sales Up 22 Percent for Best January in 10 Years

Chrysler Group has announced that Ram pickup truck sales in January 2014 increased 22 percent compared to the same month last year, making it the vehicle’s best January sales month since 2004.
Ram Light Duty sales increased 17 percent, while Heavy Duty pickup truck deliveries went up 35 percent, the Detroit-based manufacturer, adding that pickup sales totaled 25,071 vehicles. Additionally, the brand sold 355 Cargo Vans and 607 units of the brand new Fiat-sourced ProMaster van.

Overall, Chrysler Group’s January sales in the United States increased eight percent to 127,183 units. Jeep sales went up 38 percent, Fiat sales increased 29 percent, while the Chrysler brand sold only two percent more vehicles compared to January 2013. Dodge sales, on the other hand, dropped 19 percent.
