Ram Truck Master Sportsman's Tour Kicks Off

In an attempt to further promote the new sub-brand and its vehicles, American manufacturer Chrysler announced it will kick-off a 26-state, 50-venue Master Sportsman's Tour, to showcase the redesigned 2010 Ram Heavy Duty pickup to some one million hunters and fishermen.

With the help of local dealers from regions with a heavy concentration of hunting, fishing and boating event, camps hosting the Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickup trucks will be set up.

"It's a fact that pickup truck owners -- especially Ram Heavy Duty pickup truck owners -- enjoy hunting, fishing and boating," Fred Diaz, CEO Ram Truck Brand said in a release.

"This tour gives our dealers -- who, like me, enjoy these outdoor sports -- a chance to talk with fellow sportsmen and meet tens of thousands of potential local customers at one time."

The Master Sportsman's Tour comes after the demographics study of Heavy Duty owners made by the Ram brand revealed the following: 36 percent own power boats, 47 percent hunt, 57 percent fresh water fish and 33 percent salt water fish.

For all, a truck comes in handy when having to tow a trailer. According to Chrysler, 37 percent of Ram owners own boat trailers and the 37 percent who tow camping trailers.

Even more, Ram says, their trucks are perfect to store and transport the tools needed by hunters and fisherman. The Rams include more than 40 storage spaces including hidden and in-floor bins.
