Ram Truck, Manufacturer of the Year

Brand new and shiny.... This is how the still new born Ram Truck brand can be summed up in just two words. Off-Road Adventures magazine on the other hand likes to call it Manufacturer of the Year.

Having released a limited number of models since it became a brand of its own, Ram Truck has been however acknowledged for the “commitment to advanced design and proven powertrains,” the magazine says.

More precisely, for the Ram Heavy Duty's 5.7l HEMI and 6.7l Cummins turbo diesel powertrains. "These proven powertrains are well known for their reliability," Off-Road Adventures says.

"We're proud that Off-Road Adventures magazine has named Ram its Manufacturer of the Year," said Fred Diaz, Ram Truck CEO.

"Their decision to feature the Ram Power Wagon on their cover photo seems very fitting, because Ram Power Wagon's unmatched off-road capability makes it the best truck you can buy for a real off-road adventure."

The accolade comes only a few weeks after Texas auto journalists crowned Ram Truck's most exciting truck of the year, the Laramie Longhorn, as the Truck of Texas. A major win for the new brand in its battle with Ford Built Tough trucks.

The Laramie Longhorn is fitted with full leather interior, engraved details and burled walnut woodgrain surfaces, in either dark slate gray and russet or bark brown and light pebble beige interior colors.

It is offered as the Ram 1500, 2500 or 3500 Heavy Duty pickup trucks and rides on 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels (Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn) or polished aluminum wheels (Ram 2500 and 3500 Laramie Longhorn).
