Ram to Sponsor Bass Angler Ryan Said

It appears it is fishing week for the American automotive industry. After two days ago GM announced that its Chevrolet brand will continue its involvement in the FLW Outdoors fishing tournament, it's time for the competition to strike back.

Ram, one of the newest brands on the local market, announced today that it will be the sponsor of bass angler Ryan Said in the 2011 season. As a result, Said will be competing in the 2011 Bassmaster Classic and Bassmaster Elite Series wearing the Ram colors. To make the sponsorship even more visible, Ram will be featured on the angler's boat as well.

“Bass anglers are passionate about their trucks,”
said Fred Diaz, Ram CEO. “They demand unsurpassed capability and proven reliability.”

“They’re also very loyal to their sponsor. The introduction of the new Ram Outdoorsman and Ram’s sponsorship of Ryan Said are two of the ways we’re sharing our passion for the sport and connecting with anglers like ourselves.”

The first time Said will be seen in the Ram colors will be February 18, when 52 of the best anglers in the world will go head to head in the Mississippi River Delta. The season opener will be followed by the 2011 Bassmaster Elite Series, which kicks off on March 10, at the Sunshine Showdown on Tavares.
