2015 Ram ProMaster City Hits the Road for an 11-City Tour

Commercial vans aren’t sexy, but they’re a big money maker for automakers especially as the economy begins to rebound. After launching the 2014 Ram ProMaster and preparing to launch the all-new 2015 Ram ProMaster City, Ram is taking its two vans out on a multi-city tour to give customers some seat time in its dynamic duo.

The Ram ProMaster City Tour kicks off tomorrow in Atlanta, GA before starting an 11-city tour through the end of October that culminates at Chrysler’s headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. At each event, registered attendees will have the opportunity to drive both the ProMaster City and ProMaster as well as get some one-on-one time with product specialists.

Most of these stops will take place at race tracks or large sporting venues, so 0there will be plenty of space for prospective buyers to get accommodated with the vans. Ram says that drivers will be able to put the van’s “performance capabilities to the test on a closed course.”

The 2015 Ram ProMaster City goes on sale early next year, but Ram has yet to officially announce pricing for its all-new Class 1 commercial van. What it has released, though, are enough of the specs to allow the ProMaster City to boast best-in-class claims for combined fuel economy, cargo capacity, cargo width, payload, horsepower and torque. Ram is going up against equally new small vans like the Ford Transit Connect, Nissan NV200 and its twin, Chevrolet Express City.

After anguishing for years without a competitive commercial vehicle, Ram has high hopes for the newest member to its work family. Like the ProMaster, the 2015 ProMaster City is based on a Fiat van, which makes it instantly relevant in a segment that is quickly switching to European-styled work vans.

If you’re interested in checking out the all-new 2015 Ram ProMaster City before it is available in dealers, then be sure to check out the tour locations and dates and then sign up.
