Ram Logo Gets on Dealership Buildings

Chrysler Group officials decided that it is time for the logo of the new Ram brand to get on top of dealerships throughout the country. This is just one of the changes Chrysler decided to apply to its dealerships after the company emerged from bankruptcy under Fiat management.

Though most dealers had to get money out of their own pocket to pay for upgrading their signs according to company requirements, they will not have to pay for this next change, as Chrysler will pick up the bill for the new Ram logos, said Kathy Graham, a company spokesman.

Things are rolling, as some dealers already have their signs up. "As far as I know, I'm the first dealer in the country to have the Ram sign," said Tim Foss, business manager at Foss Motors, a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram dealership in Exeter, N.H.

As you might remember, the Ram brand was created as the company was reorganized by Sergio Marchionne, Chrysler’s CEO. The company was split into the next component brands: Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Mopar parts and accessories.

“The brand-focused strategy has been refined further with the unbundling of the Dodge Brand which now consists of the Dodge Ram Brand and the Dodge Car Brand organizations. This reorganization will allow us to protect and develop the unique nature of the product offerings within the Dodge Brand,” Sergio Marchionne, Chrysler's CEO said in the release announcing the split.
