Ram Letters for Lyrics Goes Online

The Letters for Lyrics campaign which started this April is taking a life of its own and, thanks to the great deal of support for the campaign, it is now moving into the online environment.

The organizers of the project, Ram Truck Brand and Zac Brown Band, announced today the availability of an online application which would allow those interested to submit a letter to a soldier serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. In return for his/her letters, each participant will receive 'Breaking Southern Ground' CD signed by Zac Brown Band.

"We've had the opportunity to set up a letter-writing station at just about every one of our recent shows where we asked fans to help us rally one million 'Letters for Lyrics,'" said Zac Brown.

"The response has been overwhelming. We're so proud of the strong support from our fans, and now that the campaign is moving online, we're even more confident they'll help us reach our goal."

According to the numbers provided by the organizers, this initiative helped send 325,000 letters to the soldiers fighting in the two conflict zones. The goal of both the truck manufacturer and the singers is to send to Iraq and Afghanistan 1 million letters.

“By sending a letter of encouragement, we are bringing a piece of home to a soldier wherever they may be stationed. Writing a letter at the Ram Truck brand web sites is easy and quick – in fact, it may inspire writers to send more than one,”
added Fred Diaz Ram Truck CEO.
