Who says that if you are the owner of a workhorse truck you aren't entitled to some style and bling? Nobody, apparently. Not Chrysler, that's for sure.

The American manufacturer yesterday pulled the wraps off what is supposed to be the most luxurious Ram Truck ever created: the Laramie Longhorn. Presented at the State Fair of Texas, the special edition of the Ram Truck will be offered to the customers starting the first quarter of 2011, with the prices to be announced closer to the launch date.

Until then, however, let's see what the richest Ram in the garage has to offer. The model will be available in five color choices, Bright White, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl, Rugged Brown Pearl, Deep Cherry Red Crystal Pearl and an exclusive Sagebrush with White Gold exterior paint treatment, developed especially for the unique edition.

The Laramie Longhorn will come in the form of the Ram 1500, 2500 or 3500 Heavy Duty pickup trucks, each of them wearing model-specific edition badges. Depending on the version, the cars will ride on 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels (Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn) or polished aluminum wheels (Ram 2500 and 3500 Laramie Longhorn).

The luxury, a so called defining trait for the special edition, translates into an unique and carefully designed interior. All Laramie Longhorn models will be fitted with full leather interior, engraved details and burled walnut woodgrain surfaces, in either dark slate gray and russet or bark brown and light pebble beige interior colors.

The dashboards of the trucks are exclusive to the model, taking the shape of a “hand-wrought jewelry with six liquid chrome gauge rings set against a painted taupe silver background and a tooled-metal Laramie Longhorn edition badge set inside the left-hand ring.“

Otherwise, the edition comes equipped with the same features as the series models it is based on. That includes navigational radio, remote start, back-up camera, front ventilated seats and rear heated seats and power adjustable pedals with memory.
