The State Fair of Texas is about to open its doors in the Lone Star State on Friday, and all the carmakers planning to impress the Texans have moved their business to the Fair Park in Dallas where the event takes place.
Among the first to come out and state their business as the fair is FCA, who on Thursday announced two limited edition versions for star pickups, the Ram 1500 and Heavy Duty. With changes mostly limited to exterior appointments and colors, all these new variants have been designed to meet the most pretentious of needs in terms of personalization.

The first car that will be on display this weekend is the Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition. Just as its name says, it’s all about the color black, which has been sprayed on all elements of the car, including on the specially added parts.

With unique appointments such as tow hooks, premium LED headlamps, 22-inch black wheels and sports performance hood, this version of the 1500 has been priced from $53,690.

For the Big Horn and Laramie models of the HD, FCA prepared the Ram Heavy Duty Night Editions. They bring a monochromatic design to the range, black 20-inch wheels, and, for the first time 17-inch black wheels with machined pockets on the trucks that have dual rear wheels.

As for price, the Ram Heavy Duty Night Editions will set customers back at least $37,995.

"Along with increasing capability, technology and efficiency, Ram is always looking for ways to create more comfort and refinement for our customers. The new Limited Black Edition is another example of how we deliver the most luxurious pickups in the industry," said in a statement Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand.

"Additionally, the new Heavy Duty Big Horn and Laramie Night Editions now offer an even wider selection of personalized content."

All these special edition trucks will become available by the end of the year.
