Ram Celebrates the Texas Rangers with Unique 1500 Concept Featuring Their Badge

Back in 2014, Ram and the Texas Rangers signed a partnership that was aiming at aiding the preservation of the history of the law-enforcement organization. However, they didn’t exactly specify how that would be done. Well, now we know.

Ram Trucks just announced that a new concept of theirs will be heading to the 2015 Dallas Auto Show ignoring the attention everyone is paying to the New York Auto Show instead. This concept will be showing the company’s appreciation for the Texas Rangers and features some really cool stuff.

On the outside things are rather standard but still you can tell this is a special truck. Badges inspired by the Rangers’ own are fitted on the front fenders and the tailgate while one sits on the center of each 20-inch alloy wheel.

If you’re wondering about the white/silver color scheme, you should know that according to Ram “it embodies the white hats and silver badges that the good guys always wear."

Things get a lot more ‘special’ once you step inside. There’s Canyon Brown and Tan leather of the Laramie Longhorn all over in the cabin from the steering wheel to the seats and the center armrest.

Other details include four 5-pesos coins attached to the door inserts. What do those have to do with the Rangers? Well, their badges have been hewn from the Mexican currency for a long time and it was only natural to feature them in one way or another.

The ones on the front door panels are facing the passengers while the ones in the back are showing ‘tails’. Of course, other Ranger badges can also be spotted throughout the cabin and you’d have to be pretty much blind not to notice them.

There’s a huge one on the center armrest and two more on each seat back. As a matter of fact, starting up the truck will reveal yet another one of them on the instrument cluster’s display.

At the moment, there’s no word on whether this concept will make it into production and when something like this could happen. However, the official press release leaves room for such a possibility.
