Chrysler is set to debut a recall campaign for the Ram 4500 and Ram 5500 due to a problem that concerns the front axle. The campaign affects a total of 5,600 units of the Ram 4500 and 5500 trucks in the US and 1,300 vehicles located in Canada.
The issue is a serious one, as the front axle could fail, either bending or even fracturing. Among other consequences, this could cause the vehicle to lose power.

Chrysler has already received two complaints related to the issue. However, the automotive producer states that it is not aware of any injuries or crashes connected to this problem.

Chrysler is set to begin notifying owners of the affected vehicles soon, with dealers set to fix or replace the front axles free of charge.
