Ram’s newly-unveiled 1500 Rumble Bee concept could spawn a production pickup truck. According to Edmunds, Chrysler is set to take the vehicle to some dealer shows to find out whether or not to put it on the assembly line.
"We will take it to some dealer shows and talk to dealers. We try to listen to the dealers. They know their marketplace,” head of Ram Truck marketing Dave Sowers told Edmunds, adding that creating the exact same truck would be a challenge because of the Drone Yellow exterior paint and the real bee embedded in the shifter.

"Some of the things that we put on the truck weren't volume production possible for us. That flat yellow paint would be a little bit of a challenge in the plant and the actual bee in the shifter would be tough to execute,” Sowers said.

Unveiled at the 2013 Woodward Dream Cruise last month, the Rumble Bee truck is based on the 2013 Ram 1500 single cab with two-wheel drive. The concept is fitted with a Mopar ground effects kit, black 24-inch five-spoke wheels, black/yellow leather upholstery, Rumble Bee logos and an amber-encased bee within the rotary shift knob.

Power is provided by a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine that sends 395 horsepower and 407 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
