Chrysler has produced a unique special edition model based on the Ram 1500 dedicated to the Lone Star state. Obviously, this is dedicated to Texas, the biggest single market in the US for pickup trucks.
This truck marks the 10th generation of the special edition model dedicated exclusively to the Texan market. It will ride through the land of the long-horned cow on 20-inch aluminum wheels and boasting Katzkin perforated leather seats with embossed Texas/Lone Star logos.
The crew-cab-only model is priced from $36,440, powered by a 5.7-liter V8 Hemi that will get you 20 miles to the gallon and 390 hp. Deliveries will start towards the end of the second quarter.
“The Ram 1500 Lone Star was the first pickup truck designed by Texans and built specifically for Texans,” said Ram boss, Fred Diaz. “Native Texans are very proud to be from the Lone Star State. For the last 10 years, this truck has given us the authentic opportunity to proudly connect Ram with Texas’ very proud state motto. It’s by far our best-selling Ram truck in Texas.”
