This just in from Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles: Lorenzo Ramaciotti is retiring. In his place, FCA decided to name Ralph Gilles as Chief Designer of the Italo-American consortium. Yes, the Chief Designer has the last word for Fiat-Chrysler vehicles around the world.
Be it a simple Dodge or a full-fledged Maserati, Ralph Gilles will oversee the designing process of every future product. Regarding formed FCA head of design Lorenzo Ramaciotii, has held this position since 2007.
As for the newly appointed FCA Chief Designer, Ralph Gilles is a 45-year-old man credited for styling the 2005 Chrysler 300. Lorenzo performed so well during his stay there, the Italian automotive design house’s higher-ups appointed him General Manager of Pininfarina in 1988, and Managing Director and CEO in 2002.
