Rally Legend: Lancia Stratos HF Galore, Awesome Exhausts Sounds

Lancias might stand for frugal hatchbacks and American cars that have a different badge on them these days, but back in the day, the Lancia Stratos was synonymous with rallying. Despite its short wheelbase, it’s also one of the best looking and evocative Italian cars, so it’s only natural that it still enjoys a strong following, even to this day.
This was an award winning rally car back in the 1970s, and many of its fun qualities have remained the same to this day. Power came from a mid-mounted 2.4-liter V6 from the Dino.

For racing purposes, the 2.4-liter was tuned to 280 horsepower and even to 560 hp in some cases with the help of turbocharging. A good couple of handfuls of the surviving cars, 14 to be more precise, were recently filmed by Youtube user Marchetino while they were strutting their stuff at the 2011 Rally Legend Event in San Marino.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
