Raikkonen Unhappy with Ferrari Development

In the fight between Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen for Ferrari's second seat in 2010, any gesture or comment from either of them seems to matter even more. The Finnish driver had no problem criticizing his team for their strategy in the second half of 2009, as Ferrari have already switched focus to the 2010 challenger rather than keep developing the F60.

Despite his 4 consecutive podiums this season - one of which was a win, in the Belgian Grand Prix - Raikkonen revealed that he is unhappy with the F60. During the Singapore GP, the 2007 F1 champion only managed a 13th place on the grid and got to the chequered flag outside the point scoring positions, causing one of his few outbursts at the Maranello officials.

"We have decided to stop the development of the car and we are paying for it more race by race. I don't know if it was the right decision or not, you should ask the team. But we are fighting for third in the championship, not the first place," said Raikkonen for Italian newspaper La Stampa.

In addition to those comments, Raikkonen also revealed his predictions - from Ferrari's standpoint - for the following 3 races of the season. While he expects the F60 to have a similar rate of success at Suzuka as it did in Singapore, Raikkonen opinioned that Interlagos will better suit his car.

Raikkonen's teammate Giancarlo Fisichella also struggled with the F60 in Singapore, as he qualified 18th and finished 13th this weekend.
