From the beginning of this F1 season, Kimi Raikkonen reported that his Lotus F1 race car didn’t perform as he wished, blaming the power steering set-up.

After the two races from Australia and Malaysia, his engineers worked hard at giving the power steering the feel that Raikkonen desires. Even in pre-season testing, he was reportedly not satisfied with it and had to get used to the problem.

Even so, he feels confident in his team and he’s sure that the car’s full potential will be unleashed soon enough. The F1 driver is satisfied with the car’s speed and after this issue gets solved, he thinks that he’s really going to improve his lap times.

The Lotus engineers set up his car in such way that it will give Kimi sufficient feedback at high speeds and great finesse when cutting the corners. We’re eager to see if this modification will improve his on-track performance.
