Raikkonen Keeps Suspense Over 2011 Plans

Kimi Raikkonen will be tackling this weekend's Rally Germany with the sole thought of scoring some more points in the World Rally Championship. Following some good runs in the first part of the season, the Finn scored only one point in the last 3 rallies, and he aims to put an end to that poor form as soon as possible.

Yet the media keeps asking him about his plans for the 2011 season, as this seems to be the main topic of discussion around the Red Bull driver.

As he is yet to announce his racing programme for the upcoming year – although he previously insisted he will make up his mind after mid-season WRC – Raikkonen continued to answer cryptically to these types of questions. While most have linked him to a return to F1 racing with Renault, Raikkonen doesn't see it that way. Additionally however, he's not sure about WRC either.

We will see. There are still a number of things to be done and it may be that nothing happens,” said Raikkonen, according to Finland's Turun Sanomat.

Some recent rumors, as revealed by the GMM new agency, have indicated that Raikkonen might remain committed to WRC rallying but switch teams for the 2011 campaign. As for an F1 comeback, the 30-year old Finn insisted that if he had really wanted to remain in the Great Circus, he would have acted accordingly last year.

It's not that I had no offers there (in F1). If I had wanted to be there now, I am sure I would have been driving. But there was nothing sensible, so I chose something else,” added Raikkonen.
