You may look at this video and think it's just another race car going up the Goodwood hill to set some kind of record. However, this is actually the new Radical Rapture, a street-legal race car.
Ferrari and Porsche go to endless length to tell you how their latest models are brewed with racing ingredients. However, we're more inclined to listen to radical when they say that no other car available today has as much racecar DNA as the Rapture.

With no windshield wipers or even a windshield, the Rapture is hardly the sort of car to take down to the shops. It's an uncompromising experience that only a few European customers will try to enjoy. However, it does allow you to play out your F1 fantasies without needing a track day.

The model has the unmistakable aerodynamics of a Radical, so you can't mistake it for a BAC Mono ar Ariel Atom. The bodywork is basically the same as that of a racing car, including an FIA-certified safety cell. But they have dialed up the ride height slightly and fitted the Kik-link suspension with adjustable dampers.

While built around the UK Individual Vehicle Approval framework, the new Radical has also received orders from German and French customers, which will begin being fulfilled in August. The mill chose to power it is also pretty interesting, a 2.3-liter EcoBoost crate unit, similar to the one fitted to the Focus RS.

It's been re-tuned by the company to deliver 350 horsepower and 320 lb-ft (434 Nm) of torque, sent to the wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters and an integral Quaife ATB differential. Considering the dry weight of only 765 kg (1,687 lbs), we're not surprised that a 0 to 60mph time of 3.0 seconds is possible. The top speed of 266 km/h (165 mph) is less important than your overall enjoyment.
