Radical Launches Limited Edition SR3 RS

Sportscar automaker Radical has just launched a new car based on their SR3 RS model. The new addition to the range is called the SR3 RS Limited and it was built in order to celebrate a decade of their best-seller.

The model comes in three colours that will definitely make the racer stand out from the crowd. You can choose from spice yellow, tangerine and rosso red or pick the matte vinyl graphics pack.

The SR3 RS is a trackday orientated machine powered by a 1,340 cc RPE Suzuki engine capable of developing 210 hp at 10,500 rpm. All that power is transmitted to the wheels thanks to a six-speed sequential gearbox. Braking is assured by 260x25mm 30-vane ventilated discs present at the front and rear of the car.

The model has an Quaife ATB differential, while the high-downforce rear diffuser asserts the fact that this vehicle is built for racing on the track. The car has advanced aerodynamics and the full-underfloor diffuser for leech-like grip is one example to back that up.

There are some interesting extras for the model, such as the trackday silencing kit and the spares ‘starter pack’ that includes filters, accessories, spare wheels and wet-weather tires. Other features include in-built engine data-logging and an advanced LCD dash multifunction display.

Performance is track worthy with acceleration from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.1 seconds, 50-100 mph (80-160 km/h) in 5.3 seconds and a maximum speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

Safety comes first for Radical and in order to protect the driver and passenger of the SR3 RS Limited, they fitted a FIA specification crash box and central safety cell on the car.

The car will be made in limited numbers of just 25 units and each model will have a special edition numbered plate. The starting price for the Radical SR3 RS Limited is set for £49,850 (EUR56,200) including VAT (Value Added Tax).
