He just tested his new 540 horsepower, 1.6-liter engined Volkswagen Beetle GRC rally car, but that doesn’t mean professional racing driver Tanner Foust is not living a normal life, like the rest of us. At least that is the message the TV host wants to send considering he just had fans see him next to a 2014 VW Touareg TDI Rline. He even quoted the car we’ll get some proper custom touch soon.
Driving a VW Touareg is probably the average middle class lifestyle, especially when you’re a adult family guy. And this is the message Foust is sending to fans with the picture he just posted on his Facebook account. Buy it or don’t, point is that the Touareg is one of the cars he drives around, one that will get some custom improvement soon.

New Daily Driver... 2014 VW Touareg TDI Rline. Last time you will be seeing this thing stock!” Foust wrote next to the image. However, as a co-host on the American version of the motoring television series Top Gear, it’s pretty obvious the 41-year old racer got the chance to drive mostly any new supercar you’ll find on the market.

This means he might even own a couple of those nice sportscars. Moreover, at the Chicago Auto Show in February, Foust announced a new partnership with Volkswagen and Andretti Autosport. He will be racing the Volkswagen Beetle GRC for this year’s Global Rallycross season. So with the new VW SUV we might be looking at yet another of those marketing subtle things auto makers do. Just saying.

Meanwhile, you could also check out Foust having fun with the Beetle.
