Racer Danica Patrick’s Chevrolet SS Turned Pink for a Good Cause

She is the most successful woman in the history of American open-wheel racing, being the only female racer to win an IndyCar Series race, but she also has a great heart. This is why Danica Patrick’s No.10 GoDaddy Chevrolet SS just got a different look for the NASCAR Sprint Cup’s four events this month. The car got a bright pink livery as a support of GoDaddy’s “Put the Brakes on Breast Cancer” program.

Patrick recently unveiled the looks of her Chevrolet SS racecar posting pictures on GoDaddy’s Facebook page. The new wrap comes in support of the sponsor’s breast cancer campaign that began last month, through which those with a loved one who was affected by breast cancer can donate $10 or more to the foundation in their memory. GoDaddy is also donating $50,000 to the cause.

“I think far too many people know someone affected by this disease. We wanted to do something a little different this year, something to honor people who have fought the disease, and we wanted to do it in a way that might help drive donations,” Patrick told to Fox News.

Whether you know her as a race driver or you’ve seen one of her several marketing ventures, we’re pretty sure a lot of Patrick’s fans started following her ever since she appeared in Jay-Z’s music video “Show Me What You Got,” where she drove a Pagani Zonda Roadster.

As to the charity, it’s not the first time Danica is involved in helping other people. In fact, Patrick is also the celebrity spokesperson for DRIVE4COPD, an awareness campaign for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, of which her grandmother died.
