Truth be told, it is extremely difficult to capture the emotion of racing on camera and spread it into the world, which is why motorsport doesn't gain the popularity it deserves. Add the ever-increasing safety and environmental constrains that limit the show and you end up with an audience that simply isn't satisfying enough.
Fortunately, there are certain occasions on which motorsport machines show themselves to the public outside the races. One such occasion is the Essen Motor Show 2014 and walking on the German event's floor we came across racers from virtually all the major disciplines.
Probably the most extreme racing material we've see in Essen in the Red Bull X2014. Then again, you'd expect a machine that was bred in the Gran Turismo virtual real to be out of this world.
Ther automaker also battles its usual rivals, Audi and BMW in the DTM area of Essen, while the SLS AMG and the Audi R8 GT racers completed the German presence at the event.
Renault, on the other hand, focused on the parts of motorsport that are easier to access, such as the Formula Renault and the Clio Cup.
No motorsport display would be complete without the truly unconventional creations, which, in this case, were represented by drift cars and truck racers.
The plethora of racecars we met at Eseen shined even when standing still, so we're inviting you to feast your eyes on the gigantic gallery below.

What about the actual disciplines?
Le Mans, Formula One and WRC all battled for top tier motorsport attention and here we must mention Mercedes-Benz, as their F1 booth was downright impressive, creating a passage through time to an era when F1 was much more... romantic than it is today.Ther automaker also battles its usual rivals, Audi and BMW in the DTM area of Essen, while the SLS AMG and the Audi R8 GT racers completed the German presence at the event.
