R&B singer Durell Babbs, better known by his stage name Tank, was arrested the other day after cops stopped the artist for using his phone while driving. It would seem the singer refused to hand out his identification paper so he ended up in jail and charged with misdemeanour obstruction.
The 38-year old R&B star was using his cell phone while driving in the Van Nuys area of L.A. when officers spotted him and pulled him over. So far, no big deal. Problem is, for some reason Tank thought it would be better not to hand over his ID when asked, so what should have been a hefty fine turned into a couple of hours in jail and a $10,000 bail, according to Daily Mail.
With his seventh album Strong hitting the market two months ago it would seem Tank is back in the game, but that doesn’t mean you can act all crazy with the law. However, that doesn’t seem to stop these famous people from acting like they're untouchable.
And Tank is far from being the only person to think of himself as such. Justin Bieber is only one of the long list of celebs who just won’t abide. The Baby, Baby star was charged with drunken driving, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license after police saw the pop star street racing, back in January. Lindsay Lohan too tried to run away from police officers who were chasing her around, back in 2008, ultimately being caught. It turned out LeLo had some cocaine in her pockets.
