The Lawless Rocket is an amazing machine. The Orange County Choppers built bike’s motor pumps out a staggering 1,610hp and the acceleration it can achieve is mind-boggling by any standards.
Last Friday, at Virgin Motorsports Park quarter-mile (400m) strip, the ‘Rocket’ flew down the dragway and managed an amazing 6.94 seconds at 201.37 mph (322km/h). Doing something like this is not easy. The huge power of the bike tends to lift the front wheel of the ground and the rider can be seen shifting his weight around to balance the bike and keep it pointing in the right direction.
It makes us all a little relieved to see that EVs can be made into absolute lunatics. It’s good because in the future when all cars and bikes will be electric, hopefully not all of them will be boring to drive. This bike is showing us the future!
