The Evoque gets all the credit for being the first modern Range Rover to lose its roof, but Her Majesty's fleet already had one, and it certainly wasn't based on the tiniest of the Range Rover models.
Royal events are still a big thing in the UK with Prince William's wedding in 2011 basically causing the whole country to come to a halt. Yesterday, the Queen herself celebrated her 90th anniversary, which obviously prompted a large number of her subjects to get out on the streets and wish her a happy birthday.

Queen Elizabeth II showed up together with her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who will be celebrating his 95th birthday on June 10 this year. After leaving the Windsor Castle and mingling with the crowds a little, they were ferried around the streets of Windsor in a special Range Rover.

The vehicle has had its roof completely removed, allowing the two royal figures direct contact with the people gathered along the route. The upper part of the tailgate is also gone, while the doors seem to have remained unchanged. In the rear, there are only two seats that have been pushed back to make room for a standing platform, where the two monarchs can do what royals are best at: smile and wave.

While she seems content to be driven around, the Queen is actually a well-known car enthusiast (even though she doesn't have a license, but who's going to ask for one?) with a natural penchant for British brands.

She owns quite a collection of Land Rover models old and new (which come in handy for her other hobby - hunting), as well as the first ever produced Bentley Bentayga. However, the vehicles she uses for her appearances outside the royal properties have to undergo special transformations, so it's more likely that the MI5 is in charge of choosing those cars.
