In case the news proves to be more than a marketing hoax, then we might be looking at one of the most successful debut in the world of powersports. Alan Gibbs, the inventor of the mind-boggling Quadski ATV/skijet hybrid announced that he needs to expand his operations, even though no vehicle was sold yet.
The official sale date of the amazing 70 km/h (43mph or 37.8 knots ) in-water Quadski is scheduled for later this fall, in November, but the Michigan manufacturer is already on a spree to expand the dealers network. Gibbs' plans see more than 100 dealer locations selling the Quadski by the end of the next year.

The same date should also see the Gibbs assembly plant in Auburn Hills reach 1,000 unit a year, but he estimates he would need some 200 more workers in 2014 to keep up with the demand. Great new for the people around the Quadski plant, isn't it?

Powered by a brutal, no-nonsense 175 HP BMW engine, the Quadski seem to care not about the way you're heading, water or ground: it can do just the same speed on both places, being one of the fastest watersport vehicles, except speed boats and the likes of them.

Quadski will retail for $40,000 (€30,465) and is said to hit the shelves in November. Or should we say docks? For more pictures head over here.
