In an announcement made this week, the company said it has decided to establish a local subsidiary. It will waste no time in meeting its customers, and at the AIMExpo event in Columbus, Ohio, at the end of this month they will be showing the first product meant for the American market.

Called Qooder, the vehicle is advertised as the “only four-wheeled tilting street vehicle in the world." Its unique ability to tilt on all four wheels simultaneously if possible thanks to the use of an independent hydraulic suspension.

The machine is powered by a single-cylinder engine that runs on gasoline and comes with a displacement of 399cc; it develops a maximum of 32.5 hp and 38.5 Nm of torque. There is also an electric variant in the works, powered by a Z-Force electric motor than develops 60 hp, and a 7.2 kWh battery of unspecified range.

On the scooter's dashboard, riders take their information from a rev counter, a tachometer, and a trip computer. Two front compartments hold sockets for a 12V plug and a USB port.

In Europe, the company charges from £9,900 for the combustion-engined Qooder. The electric version’s price was not announced, but the company is taking orders if you make a €5.000 downpayment.

It’s not clear how many Qooder were sold so far in Europe, but for their U.S. entry, Quadro are cautiously optimistic.

“Our primary motivation during this first appearance in the US at AIMExpo is to introduce ourselves to other professionals in the industry, tell our story to the media, introduce the exciting new 2020 product line-up, and meet the best distribution partners in the United States,” said in a statement Paolo Gagliardo, the company’s CEO.
