The name Qoros may indeed make you raise an eyebrow if pronounced in the same non-negative sentence with terms like “bike, two-wheeler or pedelec”. Still, the Chinese electric car manufacturer has revealed the eBIQE, a hybrid electric bycicle.
With no word on whether the Qoros eBIQE will ever make it past the prototype or concept phase, but we’d surely like to see this two-wheeler in a showroom. And that is because the eBIQE looks like a ton of pure fun, spec-wise. Abe to store 1.3kWh, the battery pack is not exactly huge, but it looks like the engine is a really economical one.

In Eco mode, it will deliver an 100 km (62 miles) range, and this is very cool for commuting purposes. If you want to go fast, the Qoros eBIQE is also on the cool side, as it can reach a top speed of 65 km/k (40 mph), so whizzing fast across the town is not only possible but also fun. The eBIQE has two more power settings : a milder off-road or casual Street mode and the Power one, which makes full use of the 16 hp the rear hub engine can produce.

Other cool features of the eBIQE include 2kW regenerating brake power, 80-minute recharging time and the versatile 19”wheels. The bike comes with a generous touchscreen which offers route planning, real-time navigation, tire pressure info, current riding data and even social media integration. Battery charging level and remaining range are obviously on the menu, as well. The frame is amde from steel, enveloped in a hand-laminated carbon fiber structure.

It’s good to see electric car manufacturers also involved in two-wheeled e-mobility, and we can only hope that more brands will follows Qoros and Rimac’s example.
