Qoros 3 Sedan Pricing Revealed

Qoros, the Chinese brand that basically made its world debut at Geneva 2013, has revealed elusive pricing information for their first model to go into production, the 3 Sedan.

Speaking to BBC in Switzerland, Qoros representatives said the 3 Sedan will not be "on the same page as the cheapest marques" and will cost between EUR 16,000 ($20,881) and EUR 20,000 ($26,034).

Although it aims to become an important competitor on the European market, Qoros will not produce cars on the old continent, but in a Chinese factory with a capacity of at least 150,000 units pe year.

The company's expecting European sales to account for about 10 percent of production, but for the time being they're not considering right-hand drive vehicles for the UK market. They're not planning diesel engines either, which is a little peculiar for an automaker looking for European success.

Besides the 3 Sedan, Qoros (which is owned by Chery by the way) is expected to offer a 3 Estate as well. The vehicle was showcased in Geneva, but only as a concept.
