Ferrari and Rolls-Royce often tell us that their cars are reserved for the most exclusive and refine gentlemen. But that's all a bunch of corporate nonsense because most are actually bough by the so called "new money", people who are young and want to show off.
Of course, it's not all about rappers, as we've seen that the kids of Chinese businessmen are living it up in America and the Japanese also have a booming Lambo craving. But this latest video that Barcroft Cars shared takes us to the middle of the desert to meet Mohammed Al Kubaisi, a 26-year old who who's wealthy enough to indulge his supercar passion.
As he himself explains, Mohammed's collection started with a Maserati Gran Turismo S, which he says was nice. After he sold it, he bought an Aston Martin Rapide saloon, which was bad. A Ferrari 599 GTB followed shortly, his first supercar, followed by the Mercedes SLS AMG. Only 3 to 6 months after purchasing the gullwing German car, he realized it didn't have the punchy engine he wanted.
And upon selling the SLS and getting a brand new Ferrari 458, the supercar kid decided he wanted to share his passion with like-minded people. So he gathered all the other supercar owners he could find in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and formed a supercar club, which quickly rose in notoriety.
After filming this video, Barcroft has learned that the $240,000 Ferrari 458 Italia has been replaced by a much more luxurious Rolls Royce Ghost.
There's nothing to learn from watching this video, but at least the next time your Ferrari dealers starts talking about exclusivity, you can share this next clip with him and explain that this 26-year old is the typical 458 owner.
