Q1 Concept Previews Next TT, Jalopnik Suggests

Audi Q1 preview concept 1 photo

A recent story posted by Jalopnik suggests the crossover concept that Audi is bringing to next year's Detroit Auto Show could actually preview the next generation Audi TT coupe… aaaaand they're wrong.
The idea is based on the fact that the second-gen TT released in 2006 was previewed a year before that by a shooting brake concept. But why would they pull of the same trick twice? Also, there's the fact that the Detroit concept actually previews a real car, confirmed for production, while the shooting brake from 2005 was never production-intent.

However, Jalopnik has got one thing clearly right. The sketches of the concept that have been released have a similar headlight design to what we've seen in the recent spyshots of the 2015 Audi TT. This only indicates a common design language. Then again, Audi isn't exactly known for its originality, and most people can't tell an A6 from A8.
