Everybody makes mistakes in traffic every now and then, but mature individuals are expected to be able to assume responsibility when it comes to paying the penalty for their deeds. The video below shows a great display of civil justice in Chile, with a rider who witnesses a crash and some more cab drivers pursuing and finally stopping the fleeing perpetrator.

Now, most of us would agree that a rider chasing and attempting to stop a car is a bit crazy, especially when the guy inside the car being chased has already been involved in a crash with another motorcycle and decided to make a run for it.

However, since being brave involves a certain degree of wackiness, it looks like the recipe worked well for the brave rider with the helmet cam. Should the fleeing driver thought of getting rid of him, a small bump into the small-displacement two-wheeler would’ve been more than enough for another victim lying in the middle of the road or even in a shop’s window.

While it is impossible to tell whether such thoughts have actually been considered by the driver, the presence of the other cabs chasing him was definitely a strong deterrent. Even so, with the whole initial accident recorded by the camera, together with the driver fleeing from the site and multiple good shots of his license plate were more than enough evidence for a bigger penalty.

Luckily, the guilty driver did not go postal and start wreaking havoc through what seems a rather busy area of the city. We kind of expected some punches as the car stopped for the first time, but it looks like the driver knew better and preferred no to make his life harder than it had already gotten minutes earlier.

Funny how the small bike sort of reminds us of a Borile Multiuso... A big hand for the rider, anyway!
